YMCA Silver & Black NFL Flag Football Team to Represent Las Vegas at Nationals in Ohio
Community Invited to Final Practice Send-Off at Bill & Lillie Heinrich YMCA
Originally released by the YMCA of Southern Nevada | July 11, 2025
Las Vegas, NV — The YMCA of Southern Nevada is proud to announce that its Silver & Black NFL Flag Football Team will represent the Vegas Valley at the National NFL Flag Football Championships in Ohio. In just their inaugural season, this newly formed team has earned a coveted spot at the national competition, a remarkable accomplishment that speaks to their determination, skill, and teamwork.
The team departs for Ohio on Thursday, July 17, 2025, where they will compete against elite youth flag football teams from across the country.
Thanks to the generous support of the Las Vegas Raiders, Acesso Biologics, and Morris Injury Law, every athlete’s expenses—including travel, lodging, uniforms, and meals—are fully covered. Their partnership ensures that financial barriers do not stand in the way of youth development and achievement.
Led by Coach Anias Brewington, the team has trained with discipline and heart. We invite the community to show their support at the team’s final practice and send-off celebration on Tuesday, July 15, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Bill & Lillie Heinrich YMCA, 4141 Meadows Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89107. Let’s come together to encourage these young athletes before they take the national stage.
“This first-year team is making history, and we are incredibly proud,” said Erica Stegall, Executive Director of the Heinrich YMCA Branch. “They represent what the Y stands for—youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.”
